Three weeks ago, almost to the minute, we had a little baby boy.
Augustus River Wade Carper was born on July 22 at 11:11. He weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches long. That seems like forever ago now because he has gotten so big and strong and has the most adorable little rolls on the back of his neck.
I never thought I would have this feeling. I guess I didn't know what to expect, but having a child is a very magical thing. We now have this little being to take care of and I still forget that he's ours. I keep thinking that we're going to give him back to some friends because we're just babysitting--but this is forever. I love him so much. I love his smell. I love his cry. I love his sneezes. I love his little kicks and flails. He has become my everything.
The little guy will go by River and I'm excited to share more about his entrance into this world. Today, we're venturing off to Colorado to visit friends and go to a concert. More on that another time...
